In order to obtain a High School diploma from an alternative or continuation high school, students must complete the following requirements:

• English--4 years
• Math--2 years (including completion of Algebra or equivalent)
• World History--1 year
• US History--1year
• Economics--1 semester
• Government--1 semester
• Biological Science--1 year
• Physical Science--1 year
• Physical Education--2 years (mandatory in grade 9)
• Foreign Language or Visual and Performing Arts--1 year

Students must complete the above requirements and electives totaling 200 units.
